Give your fingers a gift

Cocktail rings are gaining more and more exposure as the new accessory. They are a great way to show your own personal style as there are so many different kinds to choose from.

A few favorites are the YSL ones (Yours truly wearing the gold-dipped)
below are the other styles available from YSL.

Prices range from $150-575, buy at ysl.com

(above left Patricia von Musulin $1500, right, VBH $68,000)

You can always wear more than one for an extra eclectic look via Mary-Kate

Roberto Cavalli (shop at harveynichols.com)

Prices unknown. Check with stockist

The best places to browse for unique rings for a bargain are the flee markets held in the big cities (Paris has a great one, as well as the Fairfax Flee Market in LA), but of course if you can afford it, buy big, bold and encrusted!

Ah-MAZE-ing?

Hmmm Last season Rick Owens seemed to be the golden boy from LA, and now I'm not so sure anymore...

Here is his dizzying collection for the spring. The collection at least has a point of view, and not all of the pieces are just conceptual.

And We're back

It was a short break, but promise to update more frequently from here on out. Also, now officially based in London, and with a new city, lots of fashion news to share!

Kisses

Sex, Lies, and Mr. Margiela

Hot hot hot! Talk about eyes wide shut. Peek-a-boo sexy over in Paris gave us all a thrill, a great contrast to the granny prints we are seeing for the Spring. What do you think? Innovative, or just unwearable? Thanks Josef for turning me on to this amazing under-the-radar designer.

Fall '07 Bags: Still Slithering

So, we are getting back to the times where a simple Gucci logo bag is not enough in status-land. The bags must be bigger, more expensive, and most importantly, made from a poor reptile carcass. Makes perfect sense, right? I cant deny loving them either.

YSL $26,995.00

Prada $2,620.00

Jimmy Choo $14,000.00

Nancy Gonzalez $2,550.00

Bottega Veneta $22,680.00

All priced to buy at Neiman Marcus

Classic's Revenge

Trench coat, Mans shirt, Little black dress, black stiletto, Chanel bag. What more does one need? Just ask Ms. Holly Golightly

Tired of the Fashion race? The who's more on trend pondering by the water cooler? The long hours looking at your closet as you're getting ready, shaking your head at everything only because it is "last season"?

Find a happy medium; buy updated versions of the classics from new prophetic designers sure to be the Christian Dior of our time.

The new Men's shirt:

3.1 Philip Lim

The Black Stiletto:

Christian Louboutin

The 100 year bag?

Chanel 2.55 Bag
Simple, sophisticated, updated details keep it from looking like you bought it from the black market

The LBD (little black dress)
Marios Schwab

Following in Alia's body con footsteps, Marios Schwab is a modern-day sculptor, making women's bodies look like that of a Greek goddess. Don't believe me? Each one of his immaculate pieces are crafted with sewn-in girdles designed to amplify certain body parts, and hide the ugly bits.

The New Trench:
Burberry: Anston double-breasted trench
